An accident affects so many people. Not only the individual and their family, but their friends, witnesses and the members of staff from the Emergency services who attend the scene.
Taking a multi-agency approach, working in conjunction with North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, North Yorkshire Police, Health and Council Officers, the ‘Learn and Live’ campaign is delivered within Sixth Forms of local Secondary Schools to raise awareness of the consequences of poor driving and being a passenger in a vehicle driven by a young driver.It is hoped that by improving driver and passenger behaviour, it will reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured on our roads in this area.
